CITRA-StaRS

The transfer of geodata from the datasets of geodata suppliers is increasingly gaining in importance. The data are predominantly used as qualified background information, while the significance of the data model in the target system is secondary. However, the objects and their graphic form, the alphanumeric data content and the topology of the objects have to be recognisable in detail, which means that a mere transfer of the graphic without further qualification is insufficient.

Due to the complexity of the source data models an in-depth comprehension of the philosophy of the sources is necessary for the interpretation and preparation of the source data. CITRA-StaRS enable a qualified use of the supplier's data, without time consuming and complex analysis of the data models in the target system, since clear data structures are supplied.

CITRA-StaRS combine the CITRA-technology for base modelling with the idea of the configuration-free translators. EDBS/ALK, EDBS/ATKIS, NAS/ALKIS® or DFK/SQD data (special German data formats) are initially grouped in uniform data models, before being reproduced in their target systems or target formats: presently DXF, Intergraph GeoMedia, LIDS, MapInfo, Shape and TopoL. Other formats on demand. The preparation for the topically structured target data models includes construction of polygons, combining simple lines to polylines and the generation of patterned lines, to mention a few. Depending on the individual target format, all attribute data will be accepted in prepared form.

CITRA-StaRS are easy to use and will deliver a complete and clear representation of the data at low cost.

The CITRA professional version will meet the demands of those users interested in defining and supplying their own data models or wanting to take advantage of the all around functionality of CITRA. Even some of our partners from the ranks of the GIS manufacturers use the CITRA-technology for data exchange.
