Data Translation

The translation of data as a business service is particularly suited for those users who do not need their complex data to be converted on a daily basis. In  thiscase, there is noneed for  complex dealing with data models of the source and target systems , because the configuration work required for the translation is done by CISS TDI. The utilisation of such a service will result in a quicker success of the project, since the training period is minimised. The configuration resulting from the translation, rendered as a service, will be useful as basis and will facilitate a later data translation process, which is hosted by the user, in case the license will be purchased at some point in the future.

The data translation as a business service is one of the particular strengths of CISS TDI. Using the neutral format CITRA, CISS TDI is able to convert nearly all kinds of source datasets into arbitrary target systems or formats.
The following points have to be provided or prepared for a reliable estimate of the cost:

• representative test dataset for the analysis
• plot of the test dataset
• detailed description of the source data model (e.g. layer description, mapping of feature classes to layers)
• description of the target data model, in case that the data have to be imported not only to a format or system but into a particular data model
